Who we are

The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Preschool Speech and Language Program is a network of community partners that provides speech and language services to children 0 - 6 years.  We are funded by the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services.

Our program partners include: 

• Five Counties Children's Centre

• Haliburton,Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit

• Northumberland Child Development Centre  

• Peterborough Public Health

• Speech, Language & Hearing Association of Peterborough

What we do

We focus on prevention, early identification, and treatment of speech and language problems by collaborating with families and community partners.

Who we service

We service families of children 0 - 6 years of age living in the counties of Haliburton, Northumberland and Peterborough and the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Referrals

If you are concerned about your child's speech and language, call and speak to a Public Health Nurse (Peterborough County-City Health Unit 705-743-1000 or for Haliburton, Northumberland and City of Kawartha Lakes 1-866-888-4577).  She will complete a speech and language screen over the phone.
